Where feeling trembles into sound
Shaking Ravens is the musical project of Austin, Texas–based songwriter and vocalist Elizabeth Donihoo. Rooted in connection and intuition, the music lives in the space between stillness and revelation — where quiet reckoning unfolds and feeling trembles into sound. Holding grief and resilience, humor and reverence in the same breath, the songs are reflective yet alive, grounded yet urgent.
The name Shaking Ravens carries personal significance, drawn from Donihoo’s late brother Shannon’s connection to the raven — a symbol of truth that refuses to remain hidden.
The forthcoming album, Quiet Reckoning, was recorded in Nashville with producer Billy Harvey and features a collective of Nashville musicians. Now taking shape as a live Austin-based band featuring Donihoo alongside Derek Halfmann, Shaking Ravens carries the songs forward — allowing them to stretch, breathe, and find new life on stage.
As the release of Quiet Reckoning approaches, Shaking Ravens invites listeners into a landscape of reflection and recognition—where what is deeply felt finds its voice and new understandings emerge.
